The FAA requires that towers with red light systems be kept up to color spec., or fines will be assessed.
Painted, red lighted towers eliminate the need for expensive, high visually impacting strobe lighting systems.
Well painted towers demonstrate the maintenance standards of the tower owner to prospective customers.
